Agile Development

The principles of Agile Development comprise the philosophy that guides our development of your website. Agile Development is simply a series of points that describe how, in an ideal world, software developers and customers should work together, and websites, after all, are software. By following these principles, we work with you to get your site - one that is exactly what you want - up and running as quickly as possible and as efficiently as possible. Below are some of the key points and descriptions of how they apply to you.

SiteScriptors' highest priority is satisfying you through early and continuous delivery of valuable software.

When you hire us to develop your website, we don't set a site publication date that's a month away. Instead, we put up the basic framework within the first day or two. As we develop your site, you are free to check it out. This process of continuous site publication lets you give us feedback immediately, not after we've done lots of work on something that doesn't meet your needs.

SiteScriptors welcomes changing requirements, even late in development. Agile processes harness change for the your business's competitive advantage.

During your initial meetings with SiteScriptors, you give us your ideas and tell us about your needs for your website. We recognize that, at the beginning of a project, not every requirement is easy to pin down. Developing a website is a complex endeavor, and unless you're in the business, your understanding of how to use the Web to drive your business might not be fully clear. Instead of spending hour after hour attempting to hammer out a comprehensive project requirements document, we just get started. Of course, the more we know up front, the more quickly we can meet your needs. As you see your site mature, you can let us know what we're doing right - and what we're doing wrong.

SiteScriptors and customers must work together daily throughout the project.

OK, SiteScriptors can't meet with every client every day. After all, we have many clients and are determined to pay careful attention to each one. Still, this principle is perhaps the most important of the three we've listed. It summarizes the point of the first two: frequent feedback. When we stay in close touch with you, you can keep us on the right path so your time, effort, and money aren't wasted.
